ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test)
The students who have completed their Diploma (Polytechnic) can write ECET exam to get a lateral entry into B.Tech colleges.
If Telangana students want a free and better college through this exam, they must secure a rank below 1000.
Don’t fear about getting a 1000 rank — because only 35,000 to 40,000 students write this exam.
You don’t need to spend your entire time preparing to secure this rank — you can easily achieve it with medium focus and effort.
As I said, around 35,000 to 40,000 people write this exam... but there are multiple branches like ECE, CSE, EEE, Civil, and others.
To get a free seat, you should get an Integrated Rank below 1000, which means it's calculated from all the students across all branches.
There will also be a Branch Rank separately, based on your diploma branch.
Let’s focus on the exam pattern (I don’t want to complicate it too much):
-
The exam is for 200 marks in total.
-
From that:
-
100 marks are for MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) — which is common for all branches.
-
The remaining 100 marks are for your core subjects (subjects related to your branch).
-
📚 Now Let’s Go For Syllabus:
📒 Here are Common Notes for All Branches (MPC Section):
Hope you got it clear now! ✨
